March 11, 2010 - LHC Director, Barbara Brown, will spotlight three Andover women - one a slave; one an academic and one an immigrant.
Black Lucy, slave, then freed who lived in Ballardvale; Adelaide Bullen, archaeologist at Robert S. Peabody Museum, Phillips Academy who uncovered the Black Lucy site and co-wrote Black Lucy's Garden; and Eartha Dengler, immigrant and winner o f the Outstanding American By Choice Award 2009 and founder of Immigrant City Archives .
