Filmmaker, Lorre Fritchy

October 28, 2008 Genealogy Meeting at Lawrence History Center 6:30 p.m. at LHC 6 Essex Street. Lorre Fritchy, film maker and Lawrence resident, will discuss her research about the upcoming film, Millies, based on the Strike of 1912. You may have seen Lorre and her actors about town, looking for apropriate sites, acting out certain parts of the film for the public at Bread and Roses Festival and at Trails and Sails Week-end. Why this topic? Why now? How did she develop her characters from her research at the History Center and other places? Which historic figures captured her imagination? Does she have a familial connection? Come and hear Lorre answer these questions, describe her work on this film and other films she has done. See also: http://www.Milliesmovie.com
